Bristol Board, Scanned Watercolour & Epson R300
Last night, after I posted the previous 'lost' watercolour, I thought about media for printed output and remembered I'd originally done it on Bristol Board (I do some airbrushing)
Good source of this in UK is (Winsor & Newton "Lana" 2 ply £5.50 for 20 sheets of A4)
In US try here
Bristol board is used mainly for airbrush painting and is coated with a fine coat of clay and I wondered if I could print this out on my Epson R300. So tonight I tried it and believe it or not it worked absolutely fine! There were a couple of hiccups where the paper needed fiddling with (nothing major).
I used the Heavy Weight Matte setting and the output is very good no ink runs and it dries quite quickly.
You might want to try it some time (below is what I printed out for test purposes)

Blast from the Past!

I was clearing out my papers today in preperation for the Tax Man and came across this tucked away at the back of the drawer.
I did this on holiday in Malta with my daughters. I took the challenge of only three colours and tried to paint with them. Can't remember in detail what the colours were, but it was a yellow, a blue and Paynes Grey
I remember the sketch by Da Vinci (top image) which was the inspiration for it. it was called Decorative Design for Hollow Boxes c1492 and was part of the Da Vinci exhibition in the South Bank in 1989 sponsored by IBM
